WOW!!! What an amazing evening for our Trivia Night with our friends from Roots Community Food Centre. It was a full house and definitely a fun filled night. A big thank you to Liuna Local 607 our presenting sponsor, Sleeping Giant Brewing Co. for an amazing prize package for the winning team (top picture) We hope you enjoy your brewery tour and beer tasting for 10. We also want to thank Rosie and her awesome team at the Columbus Centre for a delicious buffet and organized evening. (highly recommend this venue). We could not have done this without you so thank you to our donors, volunteers and supporters for making our event a special one. Our Thursday hot meal is a combination of support from the community. The main event was a meatball sub (meatballs courtesy of Eat Local Pizza) with a side of local potatoes which we roasted and local carrots which we glazed. (courtesy of the Sleepy G Farm CSA members) Lots of 2 thumbs up for this meal which also contains an abundance of TLC. Thanks to everyone out there for the support to serve a good meal daily. March 19th, 2022. A lot of you will remember this is how we quickly adapted to no longer being able to serve meals in our dining room. Definitely challenging times for all of us and we are always proud to state that there was never any interruptions in meal service during the pandemic. One good thing that came out of COVID was dignified food choices and longer access to food for those who visit us. FYI about 80% of our patrons choose to take home their hot meals and food can be accessed for 7 hours daily. A thank you to St Andrew`s Church for the generous use of the parish garage.
