The Ladies Auxiliary of the Port Arthur Legion Branch # 5 have been long time supporters of the Dew Drop Inn. On Monday night our Executive Director Michael was presented with a very generous cheque of $2,000 from George and Nancy for our Compassion Kitchen. Donations such as these will be used to purchase protein and nutrition for the meals that we serve. Community support provides the opportunity to serve that good meal daily. Gary Christian and his awesome family have been strong supporters of the Dew Drop Inn for many years now. The Christians were our holiday meals volunteers and it was always a pleasure to work with them. Gary stopped by to say hi last week and presented us with a $500 cheque to sponsor a meal at Dew. No particular reason, the family wanted to do something nice. Our Sunday sponsored meal is mushroom braised pork chops with roasted potatoes, dilly carrots and slaw. Always served with soup, choice of dessert and beverage and can be enjoyed in our dining room or taken home. The final day of an incredible 7 days in a row of sponsored meals and lunches at the Dew Drop Inn. Liuna Local 607 has once again been very thoughtful and generous to our Compassion Kitchen and we sincerely appreciate their ongoing support. On the menu today we are serving meatballs with mashed potatoes, mixed vegetable medley and garlic bread. Hot meals are served from 12:30 pm to 3:30 pm and come with a hot soup and a choice of beverage and dessert. Your choice to enjoy in our dining room or take home.
