Being a volunteer at the Dew Drop Inn puts me in a position to understand better the city’s food distribution system, serving the needs of many who are struggling, often providing them with an opportunity for a smile or laugh. Coming into the kitchen, prep or service areas, I find something special about every volunteer shift – it’s that the Dew Drop’s staff not only maintain high standards in food and meal preparation and hygiene, but also seem to have a knack to bring out the best in every volunteer.
