Our friends at the RFDA Thunder Bay Regional Food Distribution Association are requesting a donation of 50 turkeys that they can cook and carve for the Dew Drop Inn, Grace Place Thunder Bay and Shelter House for our upcoming Christmas Dinners. If it is more convenient for you to drop off at the Dew we will make sure the birds head over to Tanner and his crew. Hard to believe the festive season is soon upon us. Our Christmas Dinner will be held on the 25th and is an invitation to anyone in the community to join us if for whatever reason they are unable to enjoy a turkey dinner. Community support provides the opportunity to serve that good meal daily. Thanks for that! #communitysupport #donationsmakeadifference #thankyou #nojudgmentorquestionsasked #everyonedeservesagoodmeal #DignityAndRespect
The final drop off of carrots from a very successful growing season at Adventure 38 . We sincerely appreciate Jay sending the Dew so much local goodness this growing season. Adding nutrition to the meals that we serve was a lot easier and as we all know nothing beats the taste of local. Thanks Jay and the community for the support that allows us to continue to serve that good meal daily. We really could not do this without you. #communitysupport #donationsmakeadifference #thankyou #nojudgmentorquestionsasked #everyonedeservesagoodmeal #DignityAndRespect #NutritionMatters #localproduce
Sysco Foods joined us on Tuesday morning for our 9:30 to 12 shift. This shift is primarily a preparation shift and sandwiches are made, pizza is bagged, desserts are trayed, lunches are assembled and we always have a never ending "to do| list that can be tackled. Volunteers are the backbone of the Dew Drop Inn. We sincerely appreciate their precious gift of time and simply could not do what we do without them. #communitysupport #donationsmakeadifference #thankyou #everyonedeservesagoodmeal #DignityAndRespect #nojudgmentorquestionsasked
Thank you so much to everyone who stopped by with donations this past week and thank you to everyone who responded to our reach for yarn. We have received an amazing amount of yarn from our community and it is now safe to say we are very stocked for the winter season, thank you once again to everyone who helped get us stocked up.
This week for our wish list we are asking for proteins such as ground beef & pork chops. We find these to be very versatile proteins we can use in numerous ways and are always very grateful for protein donations. We are also requesting crackers and cream of mushroom soup this week. These are two items we strive to always have on hand and are beginning to run a tad low on these two products. This may be our wish list but any and all donations are highly encouraged and accepted with a smile. Donations can be dropped off daily between 9am-330pm. Thank you so much to our community for the role you play in our compassion kitchen. We simply could not do what we do without you. #Donationsmakeadifference #Everyonedeservesagoodmeal #Dignityandrespect #Communitysupport
