Thank you so much to our friends at LCPS Chartered Accountants. Who gave us their precious gift of time on not just one afternoon but two! LCPS was in Thursday and Friday afternoon to volunteer for our hot meal service & our donation area. We are so grateful for all of our volunteers & we could not do what we do without all of you. All Councils of the Knights of Columbus have been incredibly supportive of the Dew Drop Inn for many, many years now. On Thursday afternoon Gerard, Steve and Tom from Council 9295 Corpus Christi stopped by to say hi with a substantial cheque for us. The money donated was their share of the 50/50 ticket sales sold at the Border Cats games during the summer which totaled $6,022.65. How awesome is that! Community support such as this is the reason why the Dew Drop Inn continues to serve that good meal daily. A big thank you to Maria from Merla Mae on Memorial for stopping by to say hi at the Dew Drop Inn. Maria brought with her about 300 containers of ice cream to hand out to those who visit us. Needless to say there were multitudes of smiles from those who received these tasty treats. Thank you for thinking of us Maria, Merla Mae and the community for the support to not only serve that good meal daily but to offer these delicious extras. Olga and her amazing team of knitters have been donating warmth to numerous agencies for many years now. Those not dressed properly for the winter months certainly appreciate a hand knitted toque, scarf or mitts. Timing is perfect as the weather gets colder and the requests begin to trickle in. Community support such as this not only helps us serve that good meal daily it provides the opportunity for all of these wonderful extras to be handed out.
