I worked for many years with low-income clients at Kinna-aweya Legal Clinic, most of whom struggle with food insecurity. Social assistance rates in our province have been inadequate for many years, and the rising cost of housing is making it challenging even for working people to pay the rent and buy groceries. I am pleased to have an opportunity to work with the Dew Drop Inn, as I know that it is an agency that provides healthy meals in a non-judgmental setting to the most vulnerable people in our community.
