I have been a volunteer at the Dew Drop Inn for a couple of years now, and never cease to be amazed at the dedication of staff and volunteers who prepare and serve hundreds of meals each and every day of the year.
Every patron is treated with dignity and respect. Every effort is made to provide nutritious meals, often with home baking. Last year I decided to become even more involved and applied and was accepted as a member of the board of directors. I am grateful to able to continue volunteering on a weekly basis and also, as a board member, to work with staff and help guide the organization through some very challenging times.
I truly hope that, in some small way, I am helping to make a positive difference.
