Jason Evans – Director

Jason was born and raised in the Bahamas and moved to Thunder Bay in 2009 to pursue post-secondary education. He has completed an Honours Bachelor of Law from the University of Southampton, in addition to an Honours Bachelor of Commerce in International Business, and a Master of Science in Management from Lakehead University. Jason has worked in the public and private sector and has experience in community legal work, economic development, advocacy, lobbying, strategic advisory, and management consulting. He has dedicated his career to improving the quality of lives of others, especially the vulnerable and marginalized population. He has served Thunder Bay faithfully by volunteering at Dew Drop Inn, Shelter House, EcoSuperior and at other ongoing volunteer opportunities with the City of Thunder Bay. Jason acknowledges an Indigenous perspective which values the practice of listening to the land and asks that all people be recognized and heard, not just those that create value. Jason is passionate about equality, food security, and sustainability.
