David Rosenberg – Director

David hails from North Bay, Ontario and has three grown children who live in the Toronto area. He received his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Toronto in 1984, his Bachelor of Laws from Queen’s University, Kingston, Ontario in 1988, and his Master of Laws from the London School of Economics in 1991. He was called to the Ontario Bar in January 1991.

David practiced law in Toronto for almost 30 years prior to joining the Bora Laskin Faculty of Law at Lakehead University in 2018. At the Faculty of Law, David has taught a broad range of subjects to law students at all levels, including Civil Practice, Remedies, Trusts, Property Law, Contract Law and Evidence. As a new board member, David is eager to apply his skills in education, strategic planning, public engagement, and policy development to help advance literacy initiatives. His passion for education and equality drives his interest in ensuring that every individual, regardless of background, has the opportunity to develop crucial reading and writing skills.
