Members of the Thunder Bay Law Association are looking forward to adding a very ‘hands on’ aspect to their ongoing support of the Thunder Bay community. “We are initiating a ‘Lawyers Feed The Hungry ‘ Program with the Dew Drop Inn Soup Kitchen, ” says association Past President Dave Dubinsky. “ We will be working at the Dew Drop Inn on the fourth Sunday of every month beginning in June. As well, we are hoping to raise funds throughout the year to help with the Dew Drop Inn’s ‘wish list’.” The program is open to all members of the Thunder Bay legal community and their families.

“ The Thunder Bay Law Association is doing very well right now , what with the new courthouse and new law school, “ says Lydia Stam , President of the Association. “Thunder Bay lawyers already serve this community in many ways but this initiative is an opportunity to have a more tangible impact.”

Stam adds that the ‘ Lawyers Feed the Hungry’ program is also active in other Ontario cities such as London, Windsor, Ottawa and Toronto. “Each association does it in their own way”. Both Dubinsky and Stam indicate that that they have received a lot of positive response from local Association members. “This is no surprise,” adds Stam’ considering the huge level of community dedication within our Association.”
