Three chiropractic clinics joined together this year for the 8th Annual Mission Nutrition Food Drive.  This initiative began in 2010 when a number of Thunder Bay chiropractors joined together to help raise awareness about the importance of daily nutrition.  The food drive, which is held each year during the month of October, assists food banks and feeding programs that work to provide nutritious food options to individuals and families in the community.  This year, the Thunder Bay Chiropractic Clinic, Healthy Families Wellness Centre and the Port Arthur Chiropractic Centre collected 3,000 pounds of food which was donated to Shelter House, the Redwood Food Bank and the Dew Drop Inn soup kitchen.

“The Dew Drop Inn has been a grateful recipient of the food collected by the Port Arthur Chiropractic Centre’s team since the beginning,” commented soup kitchen manager Julio Chiodo.  “Our non-perishable inventory has been running low so these donations couldn’t have come at a better time.”  Special thanks to the chiropractic offices who participated in this year’s food drive and to everyone who supported this effort.
